About

2014 was my year of getting up at 5:30 in the morning to fit drawing and art into my life before work. I’d signed up for online drawing lessons for one year.

My whole life I’ve been in love with art and drawing, but never pursued it because I really was not good compared to other people I knew.  I took a class five years ago and had a really stupid “ah-ha” moment – that you get better by doing – and I have. It’s what has motivated me to go to drop-in studios, keep a regular sketchbook, and in 2014, to go one step further with Drawing Tutorials Online. Did I complete my goal of all the introductory lessons? No. But I completed more and explored more than I ever have. It felt great!

I’ve loved following and interacting with others online and intend 2016 to be another year of early mornings, art supplies, and very quiet Pandora stations. And colored by a little less technical striving and more original exploration. Thanks for visiting my blog!
