Line That Divides
This was preliminary homework for working with light and form. We were to trace over the line that divides light from dark on a few black and white photocopies of the lovely PDF photos from the site and color in the shadow shapes. I decided to use my much loved gel pens and then, inadvertently, colored in the light areas. Makes sense when you’re coloring. So it was probably not intended to be a brainless, relaxing activity, but it was for me. As a result it required a little more brainpower to be a useful aid in my actual homework, but I like them combined together: orange form light, green side light, yellow light from below, pink top light.
